Sound issue

I've got all of my music on an SD card. It started to sound a bit distorted today. I originally thought that I blew my headphones, but when I plugged them into another device, they worked fine. Could it be the SD card starting to go? Any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Not an expert but it can be the card. Is it old ? I've had other phone issues occur when the sd memory card went bad

Does it also happen on the phones speaker or just headphones? Also if you have not tried this try rebooting the phone and see if it clears up. I had this issue with my black S7 edge a few times and a restart fixed it.

Truthfully, yes. Same card I had in my Galaxy Note 4 so it's a few years old

I'll have to try them when I get home not able to do that right now and I'll repost good point though
