Sound issues with Galaxy S5

[Android Central Question]

Recently I've run into an issue with the sound on my galaxy S5 regarding the sound cutting out completely after roughly 1-4 hours of the phone being on. I will be watching a video or just browsing the web when all of a sudden the sound will cut out. The speaker will make static feedback noises upon touch and then cut out completely. This isnt just an issues with the speaker as my headphone wont make noise either. this is a Samsung SM-G900V with the system updates being up to date.
