Sound Notifications while they are set to Silent

[Android Central Question]

I recently upgraded to a Note10, and since then, I get a popping notification sound (pop or series of pops) seemingly at random.

They don't seem to coincide with any notifications that actually display in my notification pane, with received messages, emails, etc. I just hear them, sparsely (once or twice per day, sometimes many times, seemingly random).

My notification default sound is "Silent", on certain apps I have explicitly set "silence notification".

If I check the notification menu directly after hearing the pop, I often see that my most recent notification happened 30 minutes ago, certainly not "just now".

Please actually read this before responding. I really don't want responses about how to unmute my ringtone.

Try in safe mode , if doesn't happen look at any recent apps you download.

Welcome to Android Central! Does it sound like any of the default notification tones, or is it completely different from them? This could give us an idea if it's the system vs a 3rd party app that's causing it.
