Sound Problem

When I plug in my earphones, the sound is very low and dampened when when volume is turned up to max. But when I plug the same earphones in to an MP3 player max sound is loud and clear.

It is almost impossible to listen to music or podcasts when there is background sounds on train or gym.

Is there a fix or a setting for turning sound up with headphones?

Please help.

That sounds like the headphones aren't completely going into the port on the phone. Which would give you a very small amount of sound or just one headphone will work. Try another set of headphone and make sure you dont have a silicone case etc. on the phone, that way you know for sure they are fully pushed into the port on the phone! you may also give it a small shot of compressed air into the port to make sure no type of pocket lint is creating problems!!
