sound profile question

is there a app to modify sound profiles.....i wouold like the phone to vibrate when recieving a notification.....but only when the phone is on vibrate mode.....it seems like you can get it to do so, but it will do it all the time....even when the phones not on vibrate mode.....what gives

Go to settings> sounds>volume and set your basic preferences. Get out of that and when you want the phone to vibrate only, use the rocker panel to turn it down to that setting - it will vibrate for everything. Return to normal when done.

The above solution will work, but there is a profile app called profiles from iamjosh in the market. It cost 0.99 but it is pretty good, especially if you are a former blackberry user. It had some bugs when 2.2 update came out, but I believe they have been fixed. It was making the wrong ringtones play at the wrong time, but I'm fairly certain it works well again. I haven't had the time to set it up again. The developer updates the app very regularly.

Audio Manager Widget, there are free and "pro" versions. It's a very good app.
