I'm coming from a BB Storm (this is a VERY welcome, VERY overdue upgrade). BB has a series of sound profiles where I can have silent( no vibrate), vibrate, loud, medium, etc, etc. Its very customizable in that regard.

Does android offer the same features, or just normal and vibrate?

There are different volume levels, but nothing like what BB has. There are a few apps in the market that have similar profiles, but it isn't built into Android. Coming from a BB you'd need to adjust to it, but its pretty easy when you get used to it. (you can also download Beautiful widgets, which include toggle widgets to turn on vibrate and silent modes with one touch)

So there are seperate Silent/Vibrate/Audible modes though? I guess that's really all I want.

The nice thing on BB was customizing vibration. So i could have three short burts for email, two short for text, one short for MMS, ec.

I think the other features on the Incredible will definitely make up for the two or three I'll miss :p

I'm coming from a Tour to the Incredible...I had bought an Eris last week to try out and I"ve gotta say that the Android OS absolutely blows away anything the BB has to offer. And this is the slower Eris. I can't imaging how much better the Inc will be!

While I had my Eris, I downloaded an app called QuickProfiles which I used to set up a profile for different situations...."silent" where I choose this profile and everything vibrates/no sound; "loud" where everything rings very loud and so on. After setting up a few profiles,I could just open the app and choose the sound profile I needed. Pretty much just like BB.

I didn't play with this app a lot but it seems like a way to set up profiles like on a BB OS.
