Sound when plugging in charger

Is there any way to turn off the sound made when you plug in the charger on this phone? It's really quite annoying. Especially when you have a less than larger charging cord that likes to disconnect and reconnect itself numerous times.

Thanks in advance

You may wish to look at Settings>Accessories>un-check Dock Sound

Is it REALLY that annoying? I look at it as a confirmation tone that let's me know the charger is properly connected, just like the sound when the S pen is returned to its dock.

Normally it wouldn't be that much of an issue, but the charging cord I use by my bed doesn't stay connected that well when being moved around. I have a habit of surfing a bit before I fall asleep at night, so it makes that noise quite often. It annoys me and can possibly wake up my wife.

Sounds like a problem with the cord's connector. Does it stay connected with other cords? If so, that's the problem. I also surf while lying in bed and haven't had any disconnect/reconnect problems. If it's the cord that came with the phone, take it back to the store. After they've check it, they should replace it for you.

That sounds like an issue with your charging port or your cord.

Are you using the Samsung cord? I use my phone like crazy when it is charging and it doesn't come loose.

I agree, the cord I'm using is pretty much crap, but it's the only one that I have at the moment. I don't see why Google (or Samsung) found it necessary to put a sound on the phone that I can't turn off. I was even able to get rid of the shutter sound with the camera, but this freaking sound I can't get rid of.

I put the phone sound on Vibrate, plugged into the Samsung cord/charger and received a brief "vibrate noise". I believe this would have been the connection sound if Vibrate had been off.

If you can put your phone in Vibrate mode while using, that might solve the problem until you can get a new cord/charger that works.

I don't think I'd want my phone disconnecting and reconnecting unnecessarily all night long. I have no idea what negative effects it would have but definitely not something I would let happen.
Cords are under $20.

Well.. That let you know your cord or charger port is having an issue. Otherwise, on day you would just have a dead phone and it wouldn't charge.

Mine doesn't - I'm just trying to remember how I turned it off. I think I set the default system notification sound to "Silent" and then override the sound for those apps I want to make notification noises. This is on a stock/unrooted AT&T Note 4.

I may not be remembering it correctly but it's worth a try.
