Spam messages?

So for the post few days I have started getting spam message notifications in my drop down menu? I dint know why I started getting them, but I want them to stop! Is anyone else having an issue like this?

Check your recently installed apps. You probably installed an app that is spamming you.

I had an app for pintrest that was sending "do you want to install this app" spam.
Deleted it and there is no problem now...
