Spam

Hi
In the last few weeks, dozens of notification emails, all spam from this site.
My post is a "copy" of the spam, "how to....".
Regards

How do we get rid of all this spam?
I would suggest that you turn-off all notifications from this AC site. Of which, I've never seen the point or need for them to be turned-on, in the first place. 🙄
I've never had AC notifications turned-on, therefore I've never received any spam.

Hi
Of course, turning off notifications... I have no notifications. But in that case I will miss out on topics that could be of interest.
Anyway, thanks.

It looks like you put those Spam threads in your watch feed
Hi mustang7757
Attached is a screenshot of subdirectories, "Ask a Question" and "General News and Questions" where you can see numerous spam posts.
Since I have notifications for these subdirectories turned on, I get them. The best thing to do would be to disable all notifications, as suggested above, and thus stop receiving those that may be of interest and others.
Thanks

I think the problem is that you have email notifications turned on for your Watched Forums, which includes Ask A Question. Ask A Question is such a generic subforum that you'll end up getting tons of emails in the first place -- it might be better to select a more specific subforum as a Watched Forum (like one for your particular device). There's no way to pick and choose which new threads in a particular forum will show up as an email notification, and there's certainly no way for the forum software to know that something is spam until a Moderator flags it as such.

I see you're using Tapatalk, I do also.
If you open a thread it will ask you want to subscribe or not if you did that could be the issue.
