SPB SHell 3D ASOP or Sense

There is a few threads going on shell launcher. Check in with a search over there. Rushrl is using shell on htc. He would know.

It works. It's not very customizable as the homescreens are preconfigured. They are just pretty. For instance the weather widget one will not use GP location to locate you, you have to search by typing in the city name, which doesn't work, and it will not pull your city. Go figure. The Flickr picture of the day widget works, it incredibly slow, forget using your phone while it's updating and isn't customizable. Luckily it only updates once a day. The clock widget is all but useless, it tells you your next alarm time, moon phase, gives you a pretty clock to look at which you can change the skins on, however when you click on it it merely takes you straight to the stock android clock. Depending on how you look at it, this should have had a custom clock.

The home panel works just like a regular screen you can put shortcuts to apps there your android widgets etc. I do really really really love the way you can reorganize things, or I guess I should say the way it does it for you, its wonderful! And being able to reorganize the screens at a second makes for wonderful things. You can set which homescreen is your home one, you can also rename them, recolor them etc. There is a lot in this thing, and the SMS messaging widget...simply good.

As far as performance goes, I'm running it over CyanogenMod at the moment and I couldn't ask for better. You can't even tell anything else is running on the phone. However over sense it was.....not as good. I want to call it jumpy or stuttery, but those aren't the right words. Which no matter how you are running it, it will be like that for about 2-5 minutes until it settles then it's smooth.

Is it worth the money. In my opinion no, I've went back to using ADW it's easier to navigate, faster, more customizable, and cleaner. If they make it to where you could remove the weather widget etc and place your own on it, it would be perfect.

Hope I answered some of what you are looking for.
