Has anyone tried the SPB Shell 3D home launcher on the D2? It looks sick as hell from this video but it's $15! I highly doubt 15 minutes is enough time to determine if it's worth keeping. Has anyone out there been bold enough to give this a whirl?

Besides the possible waste of money (15 min is just plain ridiculous to eval almost any app, especially a launcher), is it easy to swap launchers back-and-forth on the D2[G]?

I haven't tried any 3rd party launchers yet, and was wondering what the steps are.

Thanks,
AJ

Agreed about the 15 minutes point. There are free apps you can download to easily switch between different launchers. Try one called Home Switcher. I remember when I had froyo stock on my d2 it had issues setting a launcher as default though but at least you could still switch back and forth. It might have been updated; I'm not sure. Not sure if that is the case with gingerbread either. Give it a shot; hope that helps.

I really want to try this launcher...but like what has already been stated, I cannot possibly review it enough in 15 minutes. $15 is just a little to rich for my blood, without fully knowing if I will like it.

I agree that that is not long enough to test and return an app, but at least we can return them? I know of a couple of fruit based OSs that dont even allow that.

As for how easy it is to swap between launchers there are a few methods: Clearing current launchers default preferences or using an app like "home switcher". Home switcher is extremely easy. And the first method is easy, just not as fast. It does get faster on gingerbread though with the manage apps button in the launchers home menu.
