Speaker keeps toggling off during calls

Works 5-10 secs.
Off goes speaker.
End While

Do you also have a bluetooth connection active? I've had intermittent problems like that when BT is on.

I often use BT - so it might have been toggled on (with headset off).
I'll empirically test it going forward.
