When I put someone on speaker I can barely hear them, Is there an adjustment for this besides the volume? Even with Volume turned all the way up while on speaker I still can hardly hear.

Same here. Noticed this today. Had to put the speaker to my ear. Kind of defeats the purpose of using the speaker phone doesn't it?

Something rotten in Denmark here. Mine is very loud. Just now I did a test by calling the VZW CS recording. At half volume I had to quickly turn it down 'cuz everyone in Starbucks turned around.

Beats, me. I am extremely happy with the volume on mine. Weird. This is also something that really matters to me too. So I always check this out right away after getting a new phone.

ugh i would hate to half to return my phone for this

Yes I would suggest folks having this problem consider returning your device for another as mine is plenty loud and my hearing isn't even the greatest. I actually find myself turning the speaker-phone down a notch or two sometimes.

Make sure you go in to settings>sound and turn the volume up there just to make sure but like I said the volume on mine borders on too loud sometimes. It's one of the best things about this device imo(the external speaker).

Thanks... that made a big difference. Even though I used the volume buttons to turn it up it still wasn't very loud, but going to the settings menu made a big difference.

I had an insurance exchange after I shattered the first one and they sent me a brand new one in the box and holy crap was the speaker better!! The thunderbolt intro almost made me jump it was so loud compared to the first one so this is definitely a hardware thing and I would replace immediately and now google saves your non paid apps and everything so it all came back to my phone automatically which was nice because I hate only having paid apps come back!

Yea I might have to do that but the horror stories that I have heard about once making an exchange is crazy. I will go to best buy and see what happens. Was everything else alright with your phone? no light leakage or anything?

I'll have to check it out when I hit up Verizon tomorrow. Compare speakers on the display model.

Actually yes it is perfect. The other one had very minimal light leakage and this one has none. It is faster and has less lag and it seems it was a complete blessing in disguise that the other one broke :)!

that's nice I hope if I exchange I don't go through any of the nonsense

Ooof, mine isn't very loud. Not as loud as some of you are saying anyway. Seems like i should be getting an extra boost out of it.

Don't want to have to return this puppy. :(
