Speaker phone delay

When I am on a call and want to switch to the speakerphone, there is a 1-2 second delay switching to the speaker phone. This is not a huge deal, just an annoyance. Has anyone else experienced this?

Me too, on a brand new Moto G4 Plus with four gigabytes of RAM. It is rather annoying, seeing as my old phone, a Moto G First Generation with one gigabyte of RAM, does not have that problem.

Mine switches to the speaker, but it's very low volume for one or two seconds, before reaching full volume. Almost like an alarm ramping up from low volume to higher. Weird.

This has to be a mistake, that is baked into the ringer of the phone so I wonder if some how it also got attached to the speaker phone.

ill switch it over and won't hear anything. Idk if it's just a delay or not because people usually hang up.

Same issue here. I use speaker phone all the time and it's annoying.

It can probably be fixed with an update though.

I too have this same issue. I just thought it was part of this particular software interface. Can an update fix this?

Yeah, I have the same issue with my Force...not a big deal, but hopefully they'll have a fix with a software update. In fact, I notice the same thing with the phone ringing. I thought perhaps it was the specific ringtone, but it appears any ring is delayed.

Yeah, it's a bug that hopefully can quickly be fixed.

Definitely a software issue. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update release along with the latest security patch.

Just to be clear, my delay on the speaker is not just when I switch to speakerphone during a call. It is any time the speaker is in use versus the phone to the ear speaker at lower volume. So I can faintly hear the ring, the alarm, the timer alert seconds before the full volume comes out of the speaker. Suspect the signal to switch to SPEAKER volume is sent after the sound is sent. Hopefully this will be fixed in a software update.
