Speaker volume after KitKat Update

Since they are saying the speaker volume on the N5 is a software issue I'm curious if anyone has noticed any difference on their N4's after you updated to KitKat? ( I haven't gotten the update for my N4 yet)

Did it get louder?
Is it lower than before or no noticeable difference?

Just registered to answer this. An overwhelming yes. Volume is turned up full and is at best half as loud as it used to be. You can barely hear when watching videos! Google sort it out!

No change with the external speaker on the back. However, with the in call speaker there a noticeable improvement.

No changes.

You have to install a custom kernel if you want to change the volumes.

You can root and install Viper4Android to boost the external speaker. The in call speaker however uses different lib files, but it seems to be fine.
