How is everyone doing on this with their handbrake and or/ripbot264 files?
Mine are both very low, essentially near inaudible in precence of any background noise on our Epics.
I have set both ripbot264 and Handbrake with nice very usable presets for the Epic, with about 10% per side cropping on 2.35 content, no crop on 1.78, and going to 800 wide usually compressing blue ray rips to about 700 bitrate per hour. but am completely unsatisfied with my audio results, specifically low gain on Epic playback. the same files played back on Evo and touch pro 2 are louder and clearer.
I know I can use an audio editor to boost gain between demux and mux but that is a big headache and makes labor per recode about 10x as much as unattended que and overnight recode.
any ideas? Is a separate android equalizer app that boosts out of the question due to android constraints? Is that why none seems to exist? Is there no playback program that has boost? (I am using mvideoplayer right now due to its excellent subtitle support)
