I would. I've used mine and it sounds as good as any speaker. I tried the effects that were suggested above, but the effects sound horrible to me, so I turned them off.

Its plenty loud and clear to me, and the few people I talked to on speaker had no issues hearing me.

my bionic is plenty loud and the sound quality is very good. I always thought I'd have a hard time finding another phone with as good of sound as my Storm2, but the Bionic is better.

I have owned two Razrs, an LG Dare, OG Droid and now the Bionic. Bionic has the loudest (not by much) and clearest speakerphone of them all.

its def not very loud, i dont hear most of my text messages anymore when they come in

I have noticed this as well, but the only time I can say that I have noticed it being more quiet then I like is when it is sitting with the screen facing up on my leather seating. This effectively covers the small slot on the back of the phone where is the speaker is. I have not noticed any problems in my pockets or other areas, it just depends how you have the phone sitting and what type of surface it's sitting on. I do wish it was more like the original droid, as that speaker went across the entire back of the phone, which was a difficult to accidentally cover up.

Sure the screen goes the whole way across the bottom of the OG Droid but if you ever actually felt along the screen, the speaker is really only just about a centimeter in length, the same as the bionic.. you can feel an indent for it when pressing on the screen

Finally someone else has the same problem! I have had the Inspire 4G since March. After a month of playing with the volume and settings and several calls to At&t and htc support, i finally returned it for a new one. And guess what, the same poor quality, unintelligible audio, fade in/out and crackling.
Now, i like it in every other way, but the speakerphone.

I also noticed that when i used the BT unit, i had similar problems.
Help!!!!!

My speakerphone works great...no noise at all and my callers say they can't even tell I am on a speakerphone! Louder - yes, I would always like a little louder, but even with my "old" ears it still is loud enough.
