I have issue on Fascinate when I am on a call with speakerphone I cannot keep the screen up. It keeps going into screensaver mode and screen goes black

I am not aware of any way to change that. It would seem to be something to help keep the battery from being run down unnecessarily. The only thing I could think of would be to go menu=>settings=>display settings, and change the screen timeout to the max of 10 minutes. But I don't know if that affects the screen timeout while on a call.

Naaaaaaaaa Landshark,, 30 minutes of open screen is all you can get..but if set to 30 minutes all one has sto do is move the Phone from flat position to uprighat or upright to flat ..if all else fails,, shake the thing,, its one down fault of Fascinate.
i use ten minutes but am constantly moving phone around.. try that and see if it helps some.. dont forget to let us know yer results..

I wonder if the power saving mode has anything to do with it. Maybe try changing that setting and see it that works.

As far as i know like LandShark said it doesn't matter if your screen timeout is set to max, while your in a call it will shut off. from personal experience i use speakerphone alot, and usually when i move the phone the screen will come on and then shut off if not used, I'm guessing this is the light sensor in action.

Extended controls has a switch to keep the screen on all the time. I don't think it's just setting the time out to max, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll test it out in the morning.

This is a known issue with this phone. I had a customer with the issue and we tried everything since she needed it to stay on for work stuff. There is no fix to the best of my knowledge, none of the control setting including stay awake affect screen time out in a call on speaker phone or bluetooth.

Curious what rom the OP is using, I just tried it on my phone (DL09, stock just rooted and debloated) and the screen stayed on while on speakerphone. Didn't even have to use any controls.

Mine's the same way on SC 2.9.2. It runs off the proximity sensor whether or not speaker is on. If I put the phone to my ear, or my finger on the sensor, the screen goes off. If it's just sitting on my desk the screen will stay on forever. Because of this I usually hit the lock button when on speaker to help the battery.
