My samsung galaxy s6 got a lot of water inside so I quickly sat my phone on my pillow... the notification led was white and not blinking.. it happened a year ago and today I charged it up.. it works, but the front buttons not at all (it's not a problem since I downloaded an app that adds UI buttons) the speaker is still bad. I thought that it dried up by now.. or is it something else and how I can fix it??

Water damage doesn't just mean water. If this been a year pretty sure the water is gone, but any rust or circuit damage is still there.

Water tends to cause corrosion and damage to electronics that remains after the water has dried up.

Years ago my S3 got submerged and shorted out, thought for sure it was dead. Left it dry in rice for a few days, still wouldn't work.

Took it apart and had to scrub the main board and almost every connection clean with electronics cleaner and a toothbrush to get it working again.
