Specific Battery Question

Not sure if this thread was included in ctw500's thread but I think it has a lot of great info!

Good call on that link! I didn't know about the whole Wi-Fi and 3G thing....that makes complete sense and will be VERY useful. I'm just about to take my phone off the charger and have my first day of use with my shiny, new, Seidio 1750mah battery!

Hoping for my first FULL day of use....and maybe have a little left over!

You should I've been pulling 15-17 hours daily out of mine pretty consistently.

Wow....good one.

I agree it's hard for me to take MA2GA28 seriously. Filled full of fail.

Well, you said read the manual. As soon as you can show me what manual says charge the battery for 8 hours then yes, my point was a good one. That HTC site says they recommend that to make sure the battery is charged 100%/recharged. But, if your green light is on, that IS a full charge. The battery won't take MORE charge once it reads being FULLY charged unless the 'bump' is used. But, with the phone off already, the bump is not needed.

And believe it or not, it doesn't matter much to me. I know what type of life I am getting from my battery and have no need to prove it. Maybe your battery doesn't last as long because you left it on the charger for 8 hours to start...

Wow again? I'm not going to argue with you, the printed manual has it under precautions and battery charging. But you said your phone didn't come with one....so how can you comment on something you don't even have. It's on their own website under the FAQ section which is a mirror of the manual in every respect.

Now for the whole 15 hours on a stock battery (1300maH) which is not possible unless you don't use the phone at all as well as turn everything off on it. It's pretty simple, there are people who actually use the phone heavy with a 1750 or bigger, like me, that are pushing 17 hours max. So you my friend are the all knowing, all seeing, miracle working, god send to android and particularly HTC. Please tell us what to do next.....your first miracle was the extended battery life from 5-6 hours to 15 and now you must be responsible for raising the phone on the front page back to life, next will you make one survive water too....or maybe you can turn an SD card into fish.....man the possibilities!

Haha. Its evident you are arguing, as you're the one getting to a level of 'ranting' with this subject. I simply commented on the 8 hour charge claim, and you acted like I just slapped your daughter, and turn the thread into a personal attack on me.

That's fine though. I'll be the bigger man and stick to the facts. You have yet to show the manual where it says to charge for 8 hours. And, again, a FAQ site is a lot different than instruction in an official manual. Here are the manuals from the HTC website:

HTC Mobile Phone Support - DROID INCREDIBLE by HTC (Verizon) - Downloads

Is it in there? If not, it shouldn't be too hard for you to scan your manual and share it with us all, since it has so much information that obviously needs to be shared with the general population.

And if you call me out on questioning a manual I haven't seen, who are you to comment on my battery life, as you obviously don't know firsthand? The arrow flies in both directions.
