Just wanted to post this for any of the Note 7 Converts. I had originally purchased the Speck Candyshell case for my Note 7 so I decided to contact them to see if I could get it replaced. They offered me a one time courtesy replacement for the Pixel XL Presidio Case. I received shipment confirmation this weekend and it should be arriving today. They even sent it via overnight shipping.

I looked at it in the Verizon store. Unfortunately, the new design isn't nearly as creepy as the original Candyshell Speck grip. The ribs are not rubber, but more molded plastic into the rest of the case.

I actually like it better than the Spigen Rugged Armor. Offers much more protection. Guess the Spigen is going in the drawer.

Changing my original opinion, better than the tech 21, though still not quite as good as the original CandyShell grip. Big Plus on this one over the Tech21 is that the buttons are super easy to push now

I like it better than the original Candyshell due to the fact that it's not prone to scratches like the video review states. Matte finish is nicer. I also like the grippy ridges better, don't feel like they'll peel off like my previous Candyshell have.

These are in stock at the Verizon stores. Check it out in person.

I've been using the Rugged Armor on mine so far, but dropped by a Verizon store and looked at the Speck - it's much nicer than the Spigen, and surprisingly doesn't feel any larger in the hand. I definitely has about the best 'gripability' of any case I've tried to date, and while I highly doubt Speck's claim about it being protective versus up to 11' drops, it seems like it would do ok with most 'reasonable' falls. The feel of the buttons on both is exceptional - great tactile response where you can feel the 'click.'
