Specks and Lines flickering?

Just bought a Nook Tablet. The only problem I'm seeing, unless it's normal for an eReader, is the specks and lines that flicker occasionally. I don't find it when watching movies. But it will be seen in menus, online store, and the books themselves. Any insight on this would be appreciated

This is not Nook Tablet forum. While they are similar settings and such may be different. And no, it is not normal. I would bring it in to B&N.
