Ok here is my issu e. i just bought the lg spectrum and it seems I'm having a problem charging it in my car. It shows its charging but if I'm running a program like vz nav it drains the battery and shuts off. then it doesnt recharge until i can get it in a wall plug. i just went 11 hours without my phome on the road.

Is your car charger putting out 1amp or .5 amp? Most cheap chargers only put out .5 amp which is not enough to keep your phone charged while running 4G. Pick up a higher rated one that has at least 1amp if not 1.5amp and you should be good to go.

This phone is the worst power hog I've ever seen the wall charger that came with phone can't keep up with drainage from the phone. Its bullcrap I tell you. Its battery actually drains while on the charger. My thunderbolt never did that. I'm regretting getting this phone.

The adapter that comes with the phone is only 1amp and will not cover charging most modern phones while they are being used. They really should have included a 1.5 or 2amp adapter. My suggestion would be to go out and grab a 2amp if you can find one and then you will be good to go for at least the next couple of years. I can tell you that I have a 1.5 in my car and have no issues running navigator and pandora while driving.
