Wow, I just found out I can't use my speech to text on my Galaxy Nexus if WiFi is enabled. Only over 3G or 4G. What a bummer. :-\

am i the only one having a problem with speech to text not recognizing the person i want to text? If i say " text ryan hello in the message part i will see " ryan hello" .

No trolling here!!! Seriously, When I try with WiFi on I get an error that says Connection Problem.

Is Ryan a google contact?

Welp!! when i got home and tried it on my home WiFi everything was fine. I guess it was the work network that gave me the problem. Thanks to all.

Works fine for me at home on wifi! Using it now for this post.

Go to Settings>Language & Input>Voice Search and select "Personalized Recognition." That seems to make the difference for me.
