Does the galaxy S4 seem a lil bit jittery to you?. Are you interested in adding a bit of extra speed to the device without rooting, and switching the stock touchwiz rom around?. Here's a pretty simple trick to add a bit of extra speed to the device and also gives you the developers mode on the Galaxy S4 which Samsung has quite frankly decided to have hidden from the average consumer in such a simple way. Any questions? Just ask and if u thought my video was helpful.. be sure to like and share to other.

I just did this last week because I was frustrated with the lag on my brand new s4. The video I saw set everything to 0x scale, but i didnt want to have no effects at all, so I tried the .5x and boy what a difference! So much better. Feels how the gs4 should now!

Interesting. I had it off on all 3 settings because some other videos showed that. I tried this and it does feel quicker than having it set to 'off.'

Yea I know.. But i kinda like the animations... So .05 works for me?

Yeah i didnt like having things instantly appear with the 0x. It doesn't look nearly as nice or fluid.. 5x FTW!

Thomas, you have to enable the developer options. The video in the first post on this thread shows you how to do it.
(I'm AT&T and it works fine)

Go to Settings - About Device and then tap the Build Number field a few times and Developer Options will be enabled. Back out and you'll find it above the About Device option, then you just go into it and scroll down a bit until you see the 3 animation options and choose Off for speed.
You can choose 0.5 but you'll still see some jaggy animations now and again with that setting.

Interesting experiment...I find some minor advantages here and there. Mostly....I didn't see much of a problem in the first place, but there is some improvement in isolated instances. I found better advantages at "off" entirely and I don't care about animations so I guess no downside to turning them off (or down). Thanks for the detailed video--good job.

Kinda odd that .5 would be faster than 0 but it is!

And Thanks!!!!

Keep in mind that all of that stuff is from before the latest firmware update. Since installing the update and doing a factory reset the lag has disappeared, even with those options enabled.
