spigen hybrid with real aluminum

The Spigen feels much more solid. The metal has chamfered edges so it appears more premium. And I feel the tpu feels nicer on the Spigen than that of the Verus.

The Verus has chamfered edges as well but they appear slimmer than the Spigen's. I love the TPU on the Verus. It's much nicer feeling than the Neo Hybrid's for my Note 3.

Just got my verus thor....hmmmmm.....idk

The verus thor is a good case. The hourglass shape make the phone much easier to handle.

I should have stated that more clearly. The edges on the Verus are not polished and are very slim (almost unnoticeable) whereas they are polished and a bit wider on the Spigen... More like what the Note 4 looks like without a case.

Hmmm...that seems like the Spigen's chamfered edges might show wear more too. ...maybe not.

From Flossy's vids, you can see the scratches on the polished edges already.

The verus bumper has anodized bumpers, including the edges so it should be more resistant to scratches...or rather to showing scratches.

Mine came with and also it is prone to scratches easy.

My gunmetal case came in today. I was not expecting it until Friday. So far I really like it. It didn't have any scratches on the aluminum. I must say I had a hard time getting it on until I read the instructions. I don't plan on taking it off too much. This is indeed my new favorite case.

I like the Verus Iron Shield but like the Spigen too. I really wish they made the Spigen NH Aluminium for my Note 3 so I could enjoy but keep the Verus on my 4.

Just decided to pull the trigger on the neo hybrid metal in gunmetal. Now we wait.

Just got my Neo Hybrid Metal today in blue. I've been very happy with my first (plastic) Neo Hybrid so needless to say when I heard they came out with a metal one I jumped right on it. Pics (click for high-res) + thoughts:

Aesthetically, even though the plastic one already felt very high-quality and premium, this one is even more premium in comparison. I just can't stop touching it. The matte coating they applied on the coloured sides feels exactly like the coating used on the actual Note 4 device. The buttons are now colour-matched to the sides as well as opposed to the chrome finish they used to have. The volume control button has been separated into 2 buttons for up and down. I would've preferred they skip the labels on the buttons (pwr, +, -) but it's very minor.

The metal band overall is very gorgeous and well worth the upgrade for me. The double-chamfered edges are exactly like the Note 4, meaning the corners are bolstered as you can see on the pics and very eye-catching. It's also much more snug than the plastic band on the old one. No give whatsoever, but also even more of a challenge to put on but the snugness and solidity is worth it for me. I've never had these cases scratch my Note 4 unlike so many complaints I've noticed on here.

The back is almost completely the same except for the lower edge where the plastic accents are no longer visible and instead looks more plain and streamlined.

Overall, just really, really happy with this purchase. My black Note 4 blends so well with the black TPU and it ends up looking like the actual phone itself and not a tacked on case. Just beautiful, really as you can see on the pics. Pics of the new metal and the old plastic version below for comparison:
