Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protectors

Spigen is sending me a replacement screen protector. The advisor stated although the directions don't state it specifically, large bubbles that cannot be pushed to the edges will remove themselves in several days time. I guess I'll give it a second try.

Tell us how it goes because I am going to hold on to my for a week before return my for a refund.

Again the rep told me to place something heavy (a book) on the phone when not in use and the bubbles could take up to a week to go away. Hard to believe so Im not even sure what Im gonna do with my replacement unit when it gets here.

i find it ridiculous that i need to put something heavy on my phone for a screen protector to adhere...on a side note, how did you get them to send you a replacement? ive emailed them through their website and they havent answered me?

FYI they've stopped selling both Glas.t and Glas.tR for the N5 from their website and amazon and amazon.ca. Looks like they're trying to figure out what to do about the problems and halted sales of them. That said, they're still not responding to Facebook, twitter or email inquiries so who knows what they're doing.

Took 2-3 days to hear from a rep but haven't seen my replacement yet. Maybe it has to do with the post below.

Received an E-mail today from Spigen and they are recalling the spg glas t and tr.
They are offering a full refund or new updated replacement temper glas screen shield called nano slim.
Good work Spigen.

Just received my Nexus 5 Glass TR, and noticed another issue -- they didn't cut out space for the proximity sensor. There have been problems in the past with similar products when the proximity sensor isn't cleared. For example, XGear had to recall their tempered screen protectors for this very issue on the N4.

This is excellent news, and reassuring of the reputation Spigen has earned in the past for striving for customer satisfaction. Not to mention that my preference would be for the nano slim SP anyway.

The Spigen eBay store shipped mine on Nov 12, one day after this recall notice before I could even decide on to get a refund or wait for a replacement. I have asked what's up with it, no response yet.

I just ordered the tR nano. Hope it work better than what others were saying about the previous model

What to use until Dec though..

The screen it self is very nice however
the adhesive at bottom only partly sealed. I very confident that nano version will deliver. Spigen makes great products and I have been happy with them for years.

I would just order their regular film screen protector I believe it like $8 on amazon for three.

At least on the Crystal screen protector they don't consider that an issue, because it is optically clear. The only cutout is for the earpiece, camera and sensor are covered but they both function fine.

I received my replacement Nano Slim Tr and install was a success. The adhesive on the back completely sealed with no bubbles. Good work Spigen.

The the defective and new shield feel the same which is great because I did love the feel of the old glass protector. Visually the new tr is less notice then old one because old one hand a tappered bend around the glass where new does not. I love Spigen products and now know they company that will take care of their customers.

Reading this thread makes me interested in getting this for my N5 as well. I can see that the glas.TR is a popular choice. I am considering getting the glas.T. Has anyone purchased that? I know the glas.T is thinner, but I want to get some feedback about the glas.T before making my purchase.

I've been using an Orzly tempered glass protector on my n5 since I got it in November, cost less than ?6 on Amazon. Very easy to apply and had no issues whatsoever. I won't ever go back to film protectors after using glass!
