This is frustrating. I've been reading how other guys running Splashtop on their Cyanogenmod touchpads with no lag at all. I've experienced lag every 5 seconds, I mean complete pause. The video when it actually runs sound is literally a second behind. I have an I7 quad core running 3.1 ghz, geforce 260 and my router is a netgear WNDR3700. Touchpad version of Splashtop seems to run a little slow, but doesn't pause like the Android version.

Give the Xronified CM7 a try, they have been working on wifi issues which may help speed it up. Please note that I have not tried the android version of splashtop so I'm just guessing a possible solution.

I tried the free Android version with a 3.2Ghz Dual Core Toshiba Laptop and found the same lag.
I have not tried it again since installing Xrom over CM7 3.5 and overclocking the CPU though, so maybe it's time for another try!
Wifi is WPA-PSK @ 54Mbps.

One not so clever aspect of Splashtop RD appeared to be the lack of a1280 x 800 resolution option? This seemed to stretch my desktop and then jumble/rearrange the many Icons thereon, into an unwanted Alphabetical order? I have been loath to try it again since!

:)

I have to check out the Xron rom. I may just wait for the ICS build and see if that works out better.

You may want to do a speed test on your home internet connection. While I have blazing fast download speeds, my ISP apparently throttles my upload speeds. This affects my splashtop experience.:(

I get the typical 1.5 upload speed. I have no idea why I haven't thought about that

Using splashtop on Xronified CM7, and it's significantly faster than on the original tp... thank heavens.

which version of explanation are you guys using on android? I'm unsure on if I should get the standards or he which is really meant for tablets... Thanks!
