I cant figure it out.

On my S9+ if I have something open I can long press the recent button to open split screen. Currently on the S10+ long press is the same as normal press.

Anyone know where to navigate in settings to change it?

Once you tap the recent button you have to long press the icon that appears above the app and the option for split screen will pop up. I believe that's what you are looking for.

I know about that. That wasnt what I meant sadly.

Hopefully this helps. This is off my S9+ since it works there [see first pic]. Basically how Oreo was (the phone is on Pie)...guess I should of added that.

When I long press the recent button. This pops up. The top stays what app I was in. The bottom opens the recent screen.

.

Now if i were to do it now (press recent button, long press app icon, open in split screen), the recent screen does open up in the bottom but there's no search option [see second pic].

Work around:

Installed Split Screen as the long press/split-screen. Sadly when it opens the recent screen on the bottom split, there's no search button/function (like my previous post second pic). Still stuck with only apps that were previously open...

So installed Good Lock & Task Changer to work as the searcher function. There's a option to open a list of apps.

Not the best but it does what I want :)
