This is called the score now, and I second the reccomendation. It is the best out there, IMO.

I use Score Center. It's delivered all the bad news about my football team this year. Which has been a lot lol.

As an alternative, check out "Are you watching this?!" This has been my go to scores app. You can link it to your TV and press a score to get your TV to turn to the channel and also ranks games/scores based on importance/excitement level.

big issue i have with score is the NBA latest scores the play by play isn't very good..yahoo and ESPN is far better in that area.
