Spotify not active in notification panel.

Most of the time, since the latest update on Verizon, Sept security patch, I'm having this issue where Spotify is not active on the notification panel. So I have no access there to play pause, back or fwd tracks. This is all while Spotify is playing music just fine otherwise but doesn't show its icon on the status bar nor notification panel.

All stock software.

Anyone else?
