Spots and splotches on screen

If these issues won't hinder the quality of the screen and what I'm doing, and limit my touch screen abilities.. then I really don't care too much. Not like the splotches will transfer onto the pictures you take.

Ahhh the good ole splotches thread....lol I just posted about this recently.

A G Nex owner is having the same dilemma. A few exchanges happened, havent kept up with her thread since the last exchange. I see them on my RAZR in certain instances. Not everyday uses for me, but there are times I see them.

I just got as PS Vita. It has an Amoled screen....I read the specs before but forgot about it until yesterday. What reminded me it has an Amoled screen? I saw splotches. And its worse on the Vita than my RAZR.

Its a part of the screen technology. I also blame the ppl putting these devices together. So far ppl building phones, devices for Samsung, Motorola, HTC and Sony may have built these phones in a way that can show splotches. Maybe Amoled screens are thinner than traditional LCDs. Dont really know.

What I do know is its not just a RAZR thing. You can try to exchange it for one with no or less spots. I had a G Nex and it either didnt have them or was less noticable than my RAZR. So its possible. Like I said to that G Nex owner...be careful what you wish for. You might run into other issues you didnt have.

I will say that it may effect ppl that look at alot of videos on their phone in darker rooms, the bedroom at night. Or if you are constantly rebooting your phone in darker rooms and looking at the screen....lol. The Dead Pixel app is a very easy way to see it on the Black color. Wont see it on the other colors it show.

Yep. I bought a Vita about 2 weeks ago and noticed splotches all over the screen, but only in situations where it's entirely black. I nearly returned it until I remembered these threads about the RAZR/RAZR MAXX.

As long as it doesn't interfere with normal day-to-day operations, I couldn't care less.
