Sprint 2.1 leak

Hey guys Just thought I'd drop in here and check out what's been happening with this version of the leaked ROM. I've played with lots of ROMS. and they all seem to have one issue or another so I am currently on Gumbo 1.5 with the overclock. It is as smooth as buttah and everything just works. Is that the case here as well? I know this thread is long and my answers are embedded someplace within, but I guess I'm lazy, hey at least I can admit it right?

I've only tried one ROM, Beezy's option 4 (adding in VM) and it's fantastical! I certainly can't compare it to what you are using it, but it is way smoother than the original.

you actually probably need the Eris patch. HTC used different sound cards for the same phone. You can just flash a patch and it should fix it. Here's the link:

So I flash the Eris patch first, didn't work...tried the RC patch next...guess what? It didn't work either. I'm confused because everything on the phone works as far as sound except for when I get a call. I want to keep the new ROM on my phone but its looking more likely that I'll have to revert back to my backup

try the DamageControl 2.08 and then open up dcupdater and under experimental (setting in menu) theres a ROM called 2.8+Avalaunch Audio RC Fix. Many have reported success.

Not sure if this is even an issue with the 2.1 software I've got on the hero but I'm trying to play mp4 video from podcasts that I follow and I can never play it, I'm specifically trying to play netcasts from twit.tv. Doesn't matter if I'm streaming or downloading the video, it always says it cannot play the video. Anyone else having trouble playing video's from their netcasts?

Hey all,
I rooted my phone a while back and have 2.1 option 2 on it withe fixes as well. However I have my phone set to pull my exchange email over as items arrive and it seems to have quit working. Even when I set it to sync every 5 minutes it still doesn't pull automatically. I have to manually go in and hit the refresh button and then it will pull email of the exchange server. Any thoughts?

Im using kool-aid high memory and exchange with an address list of +1000 with no problems. altough i did have to manually sync my address list, after that its been working great.

Do you have problems with the data connection dropping with this version because I and several others have

once in a while but not often, but it comes back eventually, or u can toggle mobile and it will come back.

In order to use OpenVPN the tun.ko module must be present. Evidently the module has to be compiled with the kernel (hope I said that right). Anyole' tun.ko won't work.

I was wondering if you could build a version of this ROM or the Lite Option with the tun.ko module?
