Ever since I updated my Sprint Galaxy S3 to MD4 last week, I started to get this sprint connection optimizer failed notification blip almost constantly. I even reset and rebooted my phone and the problem still persists. Even on Wi-Fi, my signal cuts out which was never the case prior to the update. Also my 4g lte no longer connects anymore, it remains on 3g regardless I go even in 4g lte areas. Do you guys think that the MD4 update may have destroyed the phones radio antennas?

The update causing your problems? Yes. Fried you antennas? No. You may have had a bad download and there is a corrupted file somewhere. Take it in, and show Sprint what is going on.

How did you update? Did you get the OTA, or follow the procedure published here, or some other method? Are you rooted?

I agree with Golf that this is likely a software issue, not a hardware one. If you take it to Sprint, the first thing they'll do is try a factory reset, so you might as well try it yourself, first. Make sure your calendar and contacts are synced to google, back up your device as much as you can, and reset. That will probably solve the issues.

The easiest way to do a thorough backup is with the Helium backup program from the Play Store.
