Sprint exclusive

I'm glad a carrier is picking up Essential Phone.

It sucks that it's Sprint. Mindshare is irrelevant if no one buys the phone. AT&T and Verizon are much better candidates to push Essential.

Sprint will only be relevant again when Softbank and Deutsche Telekom agree on a Sprint/T-Mobile merger.

Good for Sprint customers but I'm not upset at all since I have the option to buy directly from Essential which is what I prefer anyway with my phones.

For one it'll be tougher for Essential to convince Verizon and AT&T to not have them touch the firmware or phone, with Sprint and T-Mobile they are more flexible. May be if they gain enough popularity as a brand, they can eventually convince other carriers. But for people interested in this phone, they kind of know they can get it directly from Essential.
