Sprint Hero Custom Dictionary

Does anyone know how to access the custom dictionary? I have seen it save one or two things I didn't really want it to with a slip of the finger, but in the settings menu where all of the test entry options are, I don't see a way to go remove them.
Anyone have any ideas?

I am still using my old Palm Treo 700wx with Windows Mobile 5. For Windows someone made a free program called DictManager that allows you to go into the phone dictionary and edit or delete words that are stored in the phone. I use this every few days to delete typos that are automatically stored in the phone. I am supposed to be getting my Hero soon and would love to see a similar program available because it's annoying to get suggestions for words that are misspelled. I hope someone knows something. I'm new to Android so unfortunately I know nothing.

Looks like there is a way to clear it:
Editing Dictionary
Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Touch Input
Click on clear data and you can delete it. Not as nice as being able to edit it I suppose, but it'll do for now

I wish that we could just edit the misspelled saved words. I have been using my Hero for a week now and have saved quite a few words already. I don't want ro have to start all over again.

I've cleared it once and barely noticed the change other than not having a bunch of misspellings come up all the time. However I do hope they address the issue. I would also like to be able to edit the dictionary

I used this technique recently as well to clear up a couple of mistakes that regularly popped up for me while typing. I agree that it would be nice to be able to edit the entries on a case by case basis rather than wiping the Hero's dictionary back to stock.

Although it would be quite a task to sort through all the words stored, it could be helpful when there are one or two specific spellings you are looking to correct. I'm one of those people who tweak my Word AutoCorrect feature quite often and would love some sort of similar editor on Android as well. Just my 2 cents.

There is a way to edit the words, without deleting them all. I knew I saw it on my phone the other night and after just searching on Google I didn't find how... this was the best page I came across.

When you have the keyboard up, to type a message or in a text box, in the bottom left corner there is a little gear, next to the hide keyboard button. Press that, then go to User Dictionary, and you can click the red X to the right of any word to delete.

If you are using 2.1, you should be able to go to your keyboard settings, choose user dictionary, then edit out individual words.

1.5 didn't have that option. It was delete all or nothing.
