Sprint Hotspot enabled on Evo4G (w/o payment therefor?)

Long story short:

> This a.m. I ported my old phone number to my Sprint account

> cs rep instructed me on how to change MDN and MSID in order to make my Evo recognize the newly-ported number

> post-MDN and MSID change, and reboot, the Sprint Hotspot and Sprint Hotspot settings are in"white" text (whereas, previously, they appeared in "gray" text)

> for sh!ts and giggles, I selected Sprint Hotspot and enabled the same --> Hotspot activated

Hotspot is unnecessary for me at this time, but if I'm in need, I'll consider using it.

Question: I checked my online account already -- no indication that I'm signed-up-for/using Hotspot service. So, am I going to incur the $30/mo. charge if I use Hotspot?

my guess is that they won't charge you but they will cut it off eventually. if they do charge you - you can tell them you never signed up for it which should resolve the charge. you'll have to keep a close eye on your bill.

enjoy it while it lasts - because it never does.

Billing doesn't happen that quick. Give it time. Its definitely not free

I think I'll check the online stmt again in about 48 hrs. $30 wouldn't be the end of the world.
