Sprint Navigation has an update but the install is blocked.

I don't know how many people use the sprint nav rather than google maps but has anyone tried to use sprint nav and gotten an update notification just to be told the update is blocked for security? the message that pops up when I click on the download after it's finished says: "For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market." after i went to settings I can click to allow non-market downloads but then a pretty serious pop-up says i will have to accept any harm that may result from allowing the download. anyone think its safe to just download this one considering its a sprint app and then go back and disallow non-market downloads?

any suggestions would be helpful considering everytime i open sprint nav it says the update is available even though i've already downloaded it.

I've always accepted any update for Sprint Nav. Just enable the security setting as it says, download and install it, then disable the security setting. Should be fine. Just make sure you install the update before disabling the security setting.

I went through this yesterday and had to ask here. Change security settings to allow installing apps from outside market and it will install.

The warning is a standard warning any time you turn on the setting to allow non-market apps. It's Google letting you know that if you choose to download apps from some unkown website in eastern Europe, and it turns your phone into a spambot, or sends porn pictures t everyone in your contact list, you're on your own.

But I think you're probably pretty safe downloading software from Sprint.

Sprint nav is so sorry. It spent half the time loading every time I clicked on anything. This thing is useless when there is a Google maps.
