I don't use Visual Voicemail or Google Voice and I do not want to as I really shouldn't have to use an app for functionality that cellphones have had for decades.
I have done a factory reset, updated my profile, updated my PRL, tried with wi-fi on and wi-fi off, tried with LTE on and LTE off. My voicemail service is set to my carrier and my voicemail settings lists my phone number. Unlike Verizon, there is no "message indicator on" option in Sprint's voicemail tree. I haven't traveled outside of the coverage area or gone abroad. I'm not roaming. Still no traditional VM notification. I spent at least 5 hours with Sprint technical support trying to figure this out and the rep allegedly submitted a CTMS ticket, but it really doesn't seem like it should take all of this for something so basic.
The Sprint forums are just as useless as the service reps when calling in and I'm on the verge of moving to T-Mobile as this is pretty much the last straw for me with Sprint.
Am I missing something?
