Sprint Pre-orders

I have a business account and called over to business sales. I was told that the pre-orders started today and must be done in store with a $50 gift card purchase, unless you're a Gold level member or have a business account in good standing.

So, I called my local corporate store and was able to get on the list with no purchase. I was already the 5th person to register for that store.

I was also told that the internal buzz at the business side is a June 19th release date. The guy in the store said that they're expecting shipments to arrive in store on the 14th. I have no idea how reliable the info is.

If they start to officially take pre orders next week, then I am expecting an announcement of the release date next week as well.

I put down $50 back on April 5th back at the Sprint store.. I will check the status tomorrow and see where I stand.. And the $50 was posted on my CC 4/5...

I called 3 different sprint stores in my Area in Taylor, MI and Toledo, OH and none of them knew anything about the pre-orders?? I am so confused.

Yes you could do that or buy anything within the store with the giftcard

I preordered at BB on 5/18. I was 13th on the list. The guy that helped me was there last year when I got my Evo and he said they were expecting a similar turn out it not more than last year. He got a call about preordering while I was sitting there giving him my info. It sounds like word is getting around to the non-forum geeks.

thats the same business i got from my local best buy and sprint store, but they told me that the nexus s 4g is THE phone to get right now...i'm sure they mean well, but makes me weary of anything that comes out of their mouths.

Ya, the closest Sprint store to me said they weren't talking pre-orders; i should have called them liars. I bet the employees trying to hold onto the first shipment for themselves (my friend that works at gamestop does the same thing). for what its worth they said they thought the launch date was June 6th

Well that's at least a different date than any other I've heard speculated 3rd, 4th, 10th, 19th, 21st, and then all the July dates. lol
