Wanted to see if any users here have had experience with Sprint's retention department...

I currently have a mobile broadband package on my Sprint account for $59.99 - I want to cancel before contract end date and avoid an ETF fee; the reason I want to cancel is I want to add the Sprint HotSpot service on my account which is $30 and I'm paying the EVO fee of $10 (4g not available in my market) - it's not too much of a loss for them if they waive my ETF. Been with them for 10 years now. The Sprint webchat dude wouldn't work with me. Anyone have experience with Retention waiving ETF fees?

try a differnet person....

i woudl guess they might be difficult to work with since they have you under contract.

sprint CS in general is a pita to work with, even when you have outs.

Good luck. Unless they make some change to their contract I think it is going be to tough to get out of ETF fees.

best bet is just to call and try again, some reps are assholes as others are nice

I tried the same thing, and had no luck. Lucky for me, my broadband card only had a couple months left when the EVO came out.

They usually do let you out of a contract, especially when the service you are adding is less expensive.

81 is right. Try again with a different person and see if that helps.
