Sprint SGS 4 - Unable to Update Domain in Exchange Settings

We changed our Exchange server at work and now I have to update my Exchange settings. I keep getting the error 'Authentication failed' and the only reason I can think of after typing in my new server name and password multiple times is that it doesn't show my domain name in the 'Domain\username' field. The problem is that this field is disabled (grayed out). I hate to have to delete the account since that will strip out all my linked contacts and then require me to link them again. Any ideas?
 
I can get on line, sync the email account but when I try to pull up my emails I get "authentication failed'...I can cancel my email, reload and it works for a day and then I get the same message. frustrating. any ideas?
