Have been using my Samsung S6 since April but just this week the Stock Voicemail App consumes the most battery at 11% to 14 % compared to 10% with screen and OS at 2% and so on. I charge the phone to 100% every night so this repeats daily. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm having the same issue. It just started and it's killing the battery. It won't go to sleep. It keeps the phone from deep sleeping. I hate the voicemail app.

I would change to a different app but you can't uninstall or disable it so I can't see any good reason to switch. I agree it's horrible today 18% battery usage tied with the screen everything else 3% or under. It stay's awake the entire time the phone is on. Usually I make it through the day and end up with 30% but today with same usage 15% by noon. The battery life is bad enough without this issue. I tried everything imaginable short of a clean install. I don't have the auto updates checked and it's the same version number so I am puzzled as to what changed. Looks like it time for that unbearable experience of calling Sprint tech support.

I've tried everything too. I un-installed the update, reinstalled the update. Unchecked everything. It's so frustrating. I might be rooting my phone shortly to get rid of this app.

I uninstalled the updates on the voicemail app on my S6 and that seems to have temporarily resolved the problem. My father was also experiencing the same problem on his HTC One M7 and uninstalled the updates, but received a bunch of notifications that a required update needed to be installed. However he just cleared the notifications and didn't bother installing it and everything seems OK now. Hopefully Sprint will fix this soon as it seems to be affecting many different models.

Spent 1 hour on the phone with Sprint their headsets are so bad I could hardly hear them elevated 4 times and nothing. Even tough I have 340 phones of which 45 are on Sprint and this is happening on the S6, S6 edge, Note 4 & 5 they blame Samsung. They say Samsung put that app in the phone. Spent a 1/2 hour with Samsung telling me obviously it's not their problem to which I agree because the AT&T and T Mobile versions don't have any issues. Is it that hard to just make a phone that works???????
