Sprint Store display (Kansas City)

Display looking good. I want to know what is in that ginormous rolled up package/display on the ground. That's gotta be one helluva banner. I bet it'll be hung on the outside windows the day before launch....just my theory.

So now I'm making the connection: You must work at a marketing firm or something...hence why you got a pre-pre-release (i.e. before Google I/O) Evo.

I saw the videos looping, but I didn't look like I was "casing the place" snapping more pics. HAHA!

Can you tell us, Panzy, what the giant roll is? I bet it's something good

Right on man. Well nice work! I'm sure the "surprise" will be worth it. And thanks so much for the other extensive thread. You really put up with a lot of noob questions and tolerated it pretty well. I know probably hundreds of people were hanging on that thread for your every reply about our new obsession.

BTW - now that you've been using the Evo for some time...what are your overall impressions? Maybe a simple rank from 0 to 10 (I know we're all biased here)

That is a really fun store...I was hoping they would have a Premier customer party like they did for the Pre but I haven't heard anything (yet?)

Yep, remember Mr. Hesse was at the KC Sprint Studio Store last year the night before the Pre release for a special party? Well, at that time anyone could walk in and buy the Pre prior to the official release the next day!

Well, I LOVE the EVO that is for sure. And I have been privileged to have had the ability to play with a lot of pre release handsets over the years but the EVO has kept my attention and has had my geeky attention for many hours now! I have had it as my primary handset for over a week now and still digging it.
Battery life is the only concern I have had lately but to be fair its probably because I dont stop playing with it and downloading every App I can. So, I think I need to delete some stuff especially background Apps that hog the network. Have tested the Fring App with two way video and it is amazing. I suspect that is the main App stealing the battery so dont forget to log out of it when not in use. And obviously 4G being on zaps it, so only turn it on when you have a good signal and really need the bandwidth.

Sprint shows more 4G coverage in KC than Clearwire maps.

Baltimore has had 4G coverage for almost 2-years. Sprint maps show thos but the Clear 4G coverage maps show none. What's up with that?

Baltimore was rolled out under Sprint's Xohm brand before the Clearwire merger. Clear will be rebranding Balt to Clear later, perhaps in next month or two. There also might be slight technical differences, which Clear would probably upgrade.
