Sprint Suckage

So I have the Epic 4g. You may or may not know that Sprint did a kick a$$ job of pushing out an update (two now actually) that essentially turn the phone into an idiot phone instead of a smart phone. The biggest issue being GPS locking up among other little annoyances.

It's known to be widespread. The sprint forums on their own site document hundreds of users with complaints, the stores document it as well. Now I'm reading that the new Epic Touch is having the same GPS issues too. So this seems it may be a Sprint thing??? Or a samsung hardware thing?

On top of that I live in a suburb of Chicago...a supposed 4g market. My 4g coverage is a fricken joke. My data period is beyond spotty. It's only unlimited data because you couldn't use enough to matter. Sprint has been sucking hard lately

So my couple questions as I am now at my wits end and about to throw my phone down to crack it and use my best buy protection plan to get a replacement.

1. Is there a good solid reliable android device on sprint that is out right now? Best buy pretty much said if my phone comes in "broken" and not just a software issue my plan will replace it with something different as they no longer will carry the epic

2. I have a family plan. Mine is out of contract, my second phone won't be until sept. I've been with sprint 12 years and now I'm ready to cancel. Who has experience with that and mainly I'm interested in getting around the EFT

3. Is the GPS/Data a sprintwide issue lately?

I had the original Epic and yes, Sprint really messed up the GB upgrade. This month I got the Epic Touch and absolutely love it. The GPS did have problems once, but a reboot fixed it. However, every other time I have used it (which is a lot) it has worked great.

I would recommend the Touch. Bigger screen, no lag, great camera.

I wouldn't get any new phone until they start releasing LTE handsets - see what's on tap after MWC next month. You sure as hell don't want to upgrade to a new phone that will be effectively obsolete when Sprint rolls LTE.

I know Sprint has said they have aggressive plans to roll out LTE, but I would be very surprised if they get most major cities rolled out in the next year or two. That is why I don't have any qualms about buying the Epic Touch at the first of this month. I figure after two years Sprint should have LTE rolled out and start fixing problems that will inevitably crop up.

HTC phones GPS is very good. I loved my Evos the 4G & 3d I switched to the GS2 For multimedia purposes. The GPS is frustrating I mean it will be off by miles not feet when I use mine. Best two phones on Sprint right are the GS2 and we'll I gotta say it the iPhone 4s
