sqlite3 installed on HTC One M7?

Has anyone been able to successfully install the sqlite3 executable on their rooted HTC One M7? I was able to push it to the /system/xbin folder, but after a reboot the system deletes the file. Is there a different location I can install the file and not have it be wiped out on a reboot (and still be executable)?
