Squeak in back?

I had my original phone replaced in day one because of a loose creaking back. I've had this one since a day after launch and the top right corner, right above the buttons, squeaks now at the slightest touch. There is movement in the cover and even me placing my index finger there during a phone call with no pressure sets it off.

Verizon is sending me a replacement. The volume of this squeak is so loud a person across the room can hear it. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm not trying to be picky not a non removable cover should not move and squeak like an old bed.

A squeaky bed isn't always a bad thing :P

But I agree, if someone across the room can hear it then its best to have it replaced. Does it sound like something internal? If you put pressure near the squeaky area can it be silenced?

If I put enough pressure and held it together tightly sure the sound would disappear. Otherwise it would continue and drive me up a wall. And does it sound internal? It sounds like the casing is loose as there is movement but worst of all it may be rubbing something inside which may create the squeak. :(

Mine squeaks with a decent amount of applied pressure. I believe that it comes from the 3.5mm headphone jack in the top right corner of the phone. OP probably got one that squeaks extra loud.

I could deal with it taking pressure but mine is from any contact. I just tested it and just touching the speaker area/camera flash also sets off the squeak. :(

Yeah that's horrible. Sorry to hear that. Milk that warranty until you get a properly working device. It really is an amazing phone!

Oh trust me I know. I have had it since launch and the performance and active notifications are unbeatable for me. I won't give up over a squeak but it can't be this loud. My Samsung Note II felt better and that's plastic. Lol

Replaced the phone and no loud squeaks. I can get a slight creak if I push but I have no issues with that as its not something I would do during normal usage. Threw a screen protector on there (thankfully perfect without any dust first try) and threw a case on it.

I have to call Verizon in the morning because the vibration motor randomly stops working for about 10-20 seconds. I've noticed this while using the dial pad, any applications that use the keyboard, the touch buttons at the bottom, and even twisting the camera. In fact it just went out as I type this message. The only way to get it back is to randomly keep closing the applications. I've done a master reset and the problem still persists. :(

Movement of the back Kevlar causing not only a push that closes the gap but a nasty annoying "loud" sound.

Oh okay, no my phone doesn't do that.

Lucky.

I called Verizon and I'll have a replacement on Monday to hopefully solve the vibration issues. Let's hope the phone feels solid too. Ha
