Stable Podcast App for S10?

I used PocketCast for years but the latest update ruined my ability to set up a custom playlist. I have since switched to DoggCatcher and am enjoying the autodownload feature. I can create a custom playlist from the downloaded content.

I have tried almost all of the major podcast apps and have settled on Podcast Addict. Pocketcasts, while having a spectacular interface, insists upon renaming the files to long strings of undecypherable gibberish, such that if you have to factory reset or switch devices, the files you have downloaded, many of which are no longer on their servers, are completely worthless. Having been a phone tester for some time, its insistence on doing this (and I went back and forth with Shifty Jelly's tech support many times on this issue), makes it dead in the water.

Video Podcatcher Deluxe is also an attractive alternative with a good interface, but a sync system that is not quite sufficiently robust.

Podcast Addict has an excellent interface; does not rename files; and provides for complete backup files that can "re-read" the files already on your sdcard and repopulate the app no matter how many times you factory reset or switch devices.

Highly recommended.

Nothing comes close pocketcasts and it's cross platform, syncs podcasts, playing positions etc beautifully across all devices in all platforms.

I agree. I've tried others but I keep coming back to Pocketcasts.

Well I uninstalled my Google and I had something come up for cast box and there's advertisements but it has the one podcast I listen to and it's working and showing me the recent ones. I only listen to this one. It just doesn't know that I've listened to all the previous ones yet. Got to see if I can mark them as listened to not it's working on for me for now.

Castbox is the way to go. Its Chromecast compatible, syncs across devices excellent playlist features and some of the best audio options as well.

Have a link? There are 2 Castbox options that I see. I'll buy the app but if it's a monthly fee I'm out.
