What will Moto do, especially on Verizon?

Update 4.4.4?
Rollout 5.1?
Nothing?

What are your guesses?

C'mon TBolt, which version of Android do you think they will update?

Assasin, the only nugget in the link you posted was the statement "We are prioritizing our deployments of the patch to the largest groups of consumers first "
Do you think that the Verizon Moto X will be updated before every Moto phone that sold fewer than the Verizon Moto X 2013?

I'd assume it's going to be in the 5.1.1 update because that is software that they already have compiled with a fix included.

Nobody has actually reported being hacked via Stagefright.
It was all done in a lab/controlled environment.
Lets worry about fixing the hundreds of bugs in lollipop.
Correct, the subset of devices that it is possible to harm are only devices running gingerbread or honeycomb with at least 1GB of RAM and that have a messenger that preloads video. So far the number of actually impacted devices is 0.
