Stagefright is complete garbage if you enjoy music!

Get a nice rom with stagefright like AOSP play something from slacker or an mp3 with a lot of weird noises and base (electronic / R&B). Your ears will BLEED. Stagefright playback when enabled has been screwed up on my Droid, Evo, and now the Optimus V (most did not ship with Stagefright and were downgraded at a later date).

Music quality is like night and day. You do not under any circumstances want a ROM with stagefright enabled unless you want to have a meaningless high benchmark score. I am running Aphrodite Virgin and am as happy as a clam I can't see any difference in Speed with any rom I tried.

This isn't my opinion you can clearly hear the difference. I think it is supposed to be slighly faster and opens up some more streaming options but it IS NOT worth it.

LG knew what they were doing when they intentionally disabled Stagefright which has been out for over a year on their New Devices. I really do have a newfound respect for LG, their phones used to be complete garbage until they went with android.

I have enabled Stagefight on my Optimus V and have not noticed a change in the quality of sound. I have flashed the 8/8/11 version of Backside Rom with the 7/27/11 version of the XioniaRedux Kernel.
